CMU's Social Impact Exposition
For years, students at Carnegie Mellon University have been impacting local, national, and international communities through their strong skills in design, engineering, and social sciences. Until two years ago, there had been no venue for student organizations and project teams to showcase the tangible social impact they have made in these communities.
Impact CMU is an end-of-the-semester showcase and celebration of the various student-led social impact projects present around campus. Our goal is to expose the vast number of socially-minded CMU students to all the exciting opportunities for social impact already happening on campus, and inspire them to get involved. By doing so, we hope to create a culture on campus for social good that will foster sustainable, long-term solutions to many of the problems facing communities around the world today.
By contributing to this campaign, you are making a commitment to the next generation of social impact at CMU. Impact CMU not only provides the showcased projects with high visibility, but also helps these projects recruit and obtain funding for next year. Impact CMU has also inspired grass root collaboration between organizations that focus on similar social impact areas, and challenges students to think more critically about how they are impacting the world.
By donating, you'll help us run an exposition that will help us reach a wider audience and broaden our reach. Here is a breakdown of how your contribution will be utilized (in order):
Reserving and setting up the UC: $400
Food and Refreshments: $590
