CMU Habitat for Humanity House
Those in the Pittsburgh area who can't afford their own homes or to repair their homes apply to Habitat for Humanity. The local chapter in the Greater Pittsburgh Area then selects local homebuyer applicants and begins to look for sponsors for that particular project. Carnegie Mellon Habitat for Humanity is looking to you to help sponsor part of a build. By sponsoring the build, we will be raising money for supplies that go toward the home. Then, during the building process, we will be able to give different organizations and groups from campus the chance to volunteer for the day. It is a hands on way to learn about everything that goes into the building process, and volunteers learn all about the tools as they go.
