Dan Martin Dean’s Merit Scholarship at CFA

About Us

Dan Martin will step down as dean of the College of Fine Arts in June after over ten years of service. During Dean Martin’s tenure, the College of Fine Arts’ five schools and many interdisciplinary programs have thrived. Thanks to his leadership and encouragement of transdisciplinary creative learning, practice and research, Dean Martin developed a sense of cohesiveness throughout the college while allowing each program and school to retain its own unique identity. At the heart of all he has done for the college is Dean Martin’s passion for students, and the way that education can encourage us to think more openly, express ourselves more creatively, and better connect with the world around us.

Our Project

Chaired by alumnus and CFA Dean’s Council member Robert Summer, the goal of this project is to endow the Dan Martin Dean’s Merit Scholarship as a permanent tribute to Dean Martin and his passion for undergraduate arts education. The fund will be used to provide merit scholarships to outstanding College of Fine Arts students in all schools and programs. The goal of this campaign is to create an endowed $50,000 scholarship. We have already raised $33,900, and only need an additional $16,100 to fulfill our goal!

Why Contribute

Please consider supporting this crowdfunding campaign with a gift at any level. Throughout his time at CFA, Dean Martin has encouraged critical inquiry and creative production in all our students. With your support, we hope to give future undergraduate students an opportunity to gain these skills through a CFA education. On behalf of the College of Fine Arts, thank you for helping us recognize Dean Dan Martin’s leadership!
