About Us

The Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival is a student-organized film festival currently running until July 30th, 2021. This season's “Faces of Home” virtual festival has presented 8 films so far with 10+ newly released international narrative feature films, documentaries, and several short films centered around the theme of “Home" to come soon. Our goal is to engage CMU students and the Pittsburgh community broadly, to promote cultural exchange, and to raise awareness of critical global issues. Additionally, we strive to feature filmmakers who represent identities that historically have not had opportunities to celebrate their artwork and culture on a larger public forum.

Our Project

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover our promotional campaign and alleviate some of the fees associated with the screening and licensing for the films. Any extra funds will go towards the honoraria of the moderators and filmmakers for the free live discussions we offer for our participants. All donations in any amount are greatly appreciated!

Why Contribute

Your donation to the Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival will enable us to continue bringing a plethora of exclusive screenings for films that have won prestigious awards, which are often more costly in terms of licensing and screening fees. We strive to select films that illuminate and amplify voices from a diverse range of local and global social identities and it is with donation from donors like you that we are able to continue our festival throughout the years!
