Our mission
Bhangra in the Burgh is a Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh student-run Bhangra dance competition that donates all competition proceeds to a local Pittsburgh charity. Since our inception in 2007, BIB has been a platform for the top 8 Bhangra teams from across the world to showcase their South Asian culture and heritage through Bhangra, an Indian folk dance. Our sold-out shows and immense growth over the past 14 years have raised over $100,000 for charitable causes in the community.
Your contribution
Your support will ensure that Bhangra in the Burgh can run smoothly for our 260 dancers and 800 audience members, allowing competition revenue to provide maximum donations to the Homeless Children's Education Fund.
Donations to this campaign will support Giving CMU Day on November 30!
We need your help
This year, proceeds from the Bhangra in the Burgh (BIB) dance competition will support the Homeless Children's Education Fund. By raising money for operational costs, more revenue can be donated to this meaningful cause.
